Google Chrome で Async / Await 関数が開発中になりました。

Issue 4483 - v8 - Feature Request: Support async/await functions - Monorail

Pointer Events と同様に Microsoft のブラウザが導入した機能を Chrome でも取り入れられた形となります。

Edge で Fetch API が取り入れられたり、これからもブラウザ同士が影響しあってくれると面白いと思われます。
